Snow!

Practically the whole of Newquay was in shock when snow started falling from the skies above. This was the second time in my lifetime it had snowed, and I couldn't believe it! It was the heaviest snow we've had since, well... forever! I was on my way home from school with Colette, one of my best chums, and her sister when it started snowing wuite heavily. It had been on and off all day, but this was real snow! As soon as I walked in my house I took some photos of my back garden and fron garden, but these photos were not taken at the snow's heaviest! We are now 5cm deep in snow, and although that might not seem like much, but it was still pretty exciting. Not only that, but we've got today off school! Hurrah! I'm off to Colette's house in a bit for a snowball fight, so here is the photo's that I have took so far. I'm sure there'll be a few more! My back garden - 02/02/2009

Newspaper Dress

Newspaper dresses. No. They do not work as I so devastatingly discovered when I was finishing mine. We had to do a project for school in which you make a fashion item and model it, bu it has to deliver a message about factoy workers. So Colette, Natalie and I set to work on designing a newspaper dress. NOT a good idea. It started out perfect. The top was fine and the skirt was working. Until I tried it on. Oops.

The whole of the skirt ripped and fell apart. Aaaaah. It was due in the next day. What could I do? Mould it around my beloved blue fluff skirt from TopShop of course. It worked! But will it stay? I don't know... hopefully it will. I'll post a blog tomorrow about the whole scenario, but I'll definitely take some extra newspaper in case thewhole shenanigan unfolds again. I don't think it will but you never know... wish me luck!
The picture of what the dress was supposed to looklike but actually turned out not looking like it. I should of known, designers are so much better at making clothes tan me. Well it is what they do for a living isn't it. Lol. Hoho. Speaking of hohoho, it's only 24 days until christmas! The happy happy day when you recieve the very best gifts just for you. Great. I am so looking forward to it...

Strictly Rant

My favourite T.V. show of the moment is Strictly Come Dancing. It's very near the finals now, what with the quarter finals being next week. I have my personal favourites, being Rachel and Vincent and Tom and Camilla. One of my favourites until she was voted off last week (sob sob) was Jodie and Ian. She was very tall, but she was lovely and was a good dancer. She was in the dance-off with Lisa and Brendan, who out-danced poor Jodie. I hadn't minded Lisa up until this point. She had been a very good dancer and seemed very nice as well. She had been in the dance-off the week before though, and again out danced another of my faves. This upsetted me (is upsetted a word? I'll have to look it up). So now I just don't love Lisa. She did fabulous dances last night, but I was still annoyed after what had happened etc. I know the dance-off is not her fault, but she does whine a bit during training. For now I think I will put this aside, and just concentrate on her dancing. Which is what the judges pointed out when John Sergeant was dancing. I think he was bullied out of the competition by the judges. So yes. I have decided to simply focus on the dancing side. Now I don't mind who wins, but I do hope the final consists of my all time faves. So now that my random little rant is out, I can now happily say that whatever will be will be, and I hope all of the quarter finalists do well.
